Guest Speaker: Kara Gerry
Kara is running for Dutchess County Court Judge
- Grew up in Dutchess County. Graduate of Marist, and the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University
- Worked as Assistant DA in Orange County
- After working in the law firm of Buckley and Gerry, she joined the Dutchess County Public Defender’s Office as a Night Arraignment Attorney.
- In 2014, Gerry was appointed as a Senior Assistant Public Defender in Dutchess County
- In 2018, she was promoted to Bureau Chief of the Criminal Unit
- Moved to UV in 2017

The committee unanimously endorsed Kara Gerry
Heidi Tucci is running for Dutchess County Legislature. Since Heidi is well known to all of us, she made some brief remarks.
- Heidi has lived, worked and raised a family in Union Vale
- DC Legislature often votes against things that help people and for things that benefit themselves.
- Heidi will work for things that benefit all DC residents

- Angela Sheldon is running for Union Vale Town Council! Anyone else interested in running for an open town position is encouraged to contact Mike Tucci.
- We are partnering with LaGrange, Beekman, UV, Beacon, E. Fishkill, and possibly Pawling as the Southern Dutchess Democrats. This will allow us to hold larger events and support each other.

- This is a way to support Arlington Schools and enjoy a walk together in beautiful Union Vale. All are welcome with or without registering.
- We will choose a date and time to walk West Clove Mountain Road (dirt part) at the March meeting
- June 14th– Meet n Greet at Angie Sheldon’s House. Angie will donate food and drink. Tucci family will provide entertainment 3:00- 7:00
- Union Vale Democratic Caucus: May 28 in the Senior Citizen Center at Tymor Park Registration will begin at 6:30. This is open to all Union Vale registered Democrats
- Annual Brunch- Saturday, September 27th Freedom Plains Church, across from Arlington High School
