There is a HUGELY IMPORTANT Special Election/Federal Primary in August!
If you are unable to get to the polls, please visit https://elections.dutchessny.gov/voter-information/voting-by-absentee-ballot/ asap to get an absentee ballot.
You will be voting for two positions in this election.
First, you will vote to temporarily fill Antonio Delgado’s US Representative seat. We have endorsed Pat Ryan (current Ulster County Executive) against Marc Molinaro.
Second, you will vote in a Primary to choose a candidate to run in November to be our Congressman in our new District (18) for the next term (2022-2024). We believe, again, that Pat Ryan is the best candidate to defeat Colin Schmitt (an Ultra-Conservative Republican).
*So you will, in fact, have an opportunity to vote for Pat Ryan, twice!
Below are the poll sites that will be open for the August 23rd Special Election and Federal Primary in Union Vale. Due to Union Vale overlapping in the old CD 19 and the new CD 18, voters registered as Democrats in Union Vale will receive 2 ballots as long as they are registered 10 days prior to the Special Election and 25 days prior to the Primary Election.
